8 Infused Water Dishes to Sip on This Summer

As we spend more time outside in the heat during the summer, it becomes more important than ever to stay fully hydrated. Whether you’re just out for a walk or you’re doing some high-intensity workouts, the more that you sweat, the more that you need to rehydrate! Keep in mind that you shouldn’t be waiting until you’re thirsty to drink water. Fitness experts say it’s optimal to prevent thirst by keeping up with your H20 intake. If you struggle to drink plain water, infused water recipes may be your solution.

On the Nutrisystem weight loss plan, we recommend drinking 64 ounces of water each day. Stay happy, healthy and hydrated with fresh and fruity infused water! Here are some infused water ideas to help make it even easier to keep drinking all day long:

1. Lemon Water

MO_logo_4-3.png

This is probably the most common infused water idea—and for good reason. This citrusy addition adds a bold burst of flavor to water. But there are some health benefits of lemon water, too. The Cleveland Clinic reports that lemon water can aid in digestion, supply some vitamin C and even give you a potassium boost, among other benefits.1

Of course, you can add other fruits to your lemon water recipe to pump up the flavor even more. Add lemons and mint together for a refreshing combo. We also love lemons with cucumber for a super “fresh” taste.

2. Other Citrus Combos

African-Mango-900_2-5.jpg

Who said lemons get to have all the fun? Other citrus fruits like limes and oranges can also be zesty additions to punch up the flavor of your H20. Lemons and limes together are super refreshing. We also love the delightful flavor of adding squeezed oranges—it’s like a light orange juice. Bonus: Researchers at Western University in Ontario have also recently discovered a molecule found in oranges could reduce obesity and prevent heart disease and diabetes!2

3. Bursts of Berries

African-Mango-900_1-5.jpg

Another great fruit choice for infused water recipes are berries. Strawberries give water a hint of sweet while raspberries add some tart tanginess. Blueberries are lovely with mint—or maybe even some lemon. Since berries are known to be chock-full of antioxidant power, these additions have a health benefit, too.

4. Chia Water

MO_packshot_01-1.jpg

Chia seeds are a superfood that are low in calories and a healthy source of fiber. They are also packed with antioxidants to support your immune system. They can make an easy addition to smoothies, as a topping or even mixed into puddings or jams. But one way you may not have thought to use chia seeds is in your water! Still, this may be the simplest way to introduce these powerful little seeds into your diet. Some people also like to add chia seeds to lemon water so there’s a bit more flavor.

5. Herb Infusions

MO_amat_08-3.jpg

We’ve already mentioned that fresh mint leaves can make a refreshing addition to water. But you might also consider other herb infusions like ginger, basil, rosemary or peppermint. Each of these can add a new layer of flavor, particularly when paired with different fruits. We love lemon water with fresh basil. Strawberries and basil also go well together. Ginger and orange are also delicious!

6. Juicy Melon Additions

MO_amat_04-13.jpg

Melons are already known for being juicy and dripping with flavor—so they can really add some major flavor factor to water. Sliced up watermelon, cantaloupe or honey dew can make your water colorful and delicious. Many melons also pair well with herbs! Get creative and find a flavor combo that you like best. We definitely suggest trying watermelon with basil for a satisfying summertime sip.

7. Go Tropical

MO_logo_3-11.jpg

Maybe tropical water sounds like the perfectly quench-worthy drink on a hot summer day. Think pineapple, mango, kiwi or even coconut! These tropical fruit additions can really up the ante on an otherwise plain glass of water. A few sips and you’ll find yourself mentally transported to paradise with turquoise waters and white sand!

8. Get Your Veggies

MO_amat_02-3.jpg

Fruits typically get the spotlight for infused water recipes. Besides cucumbers, most of the suggestions you’ll find online include fruits because of their sweetness factor. Still, you can think outside of the box and try some completely creative flavor combinations. Carrots and apples make a yummy water infusion drink. Celery can also work well, possibly paired with some cucumbers. Beets and lemons or beets and apples also makes a unique combination. Ultimately, it comes down to what you like! Anything that gets you to drink more water is a definite win.

At the end of the day, there are no set-in-stone rules for water infusion. Use your creativity and experiment—and you just may find the next “it” drink. Lemon water will always have its place, but with so many potential ideas, you could have a different flavor combo every day this summer!

Are your hypothyroid signs really symptoms of reduced bio-available copper?

What if the symptoms of hypothyroidism are ACTUALLY symptoms of low-bioavailable copper? The hypothyroid and copper connection is definitely one I see again and again with our clients. Do any of these symptoms resonate with you?

  • fatigue
  • weight gain
  • anemia
  • hair loss
  • dry skin
  • high cholesterol
  • brain fog

Here are some other symptoms of copper dysregulation:

  • Acne
  • Mood swings
  • Graying hair
  • Insomnia
  • Anxiety
  • Poor eyesight
  • Chronic headaches
  • Mind racing

We see this combination of symptoms quite often with our 1:1 clients, especially when they are struggling with fat loss and feeling their best. If this sounds like you, please read on!

MO_amat_04-7.jpg

First, let’s look at the importance of Vitamin A and its role in producing bio-available copper…

So why is Vitamin A so important?

Cliff’s Notes: Your liver stores copper and the only way it can be converted to its usable (bio-available) form (aka ceruloplasmin) is with Vitamin A (retinol).

Vitamin A (retinol) is only found in animal-sourced foods, such as fatty fish, liver, eggs, raw dairy, cheese, and butter.

FYI: This vitamin A is different from what you find in plants, which is why consuming animal products on the regular is important for overall health, including the conversion of T4→ T3 for my thyroid ladies!

I personally use Rosita Cod Liver Oil and PaleoValley Organ Complex to get my vitamin A, copper, B vitamins, and more!

How to boost bio-available copper:

  • Eat more retinol-rich foods (mentioned above)
  • Eat more copper-rich foods: oysters, shellfish, whitefish, bee pollen, mushrooms, organ meats, etc.
  • Eat more whole food C: citrus fruits, papaya, bell peppers, strawberries, etc.

FYI: Vitamin C contains tyrosinase, which stimulates the liver to produce bioavailabke copper.

And, finally, be sure to eliminate things that deplete copper, such as GMOs, ascorbic acid, HFCS, glyphosate, stress, diuretics, pain meds, excess iron, calcium, zinc, and vitamin D.

If you’re struggling with the symptoms above, we can help! We love running the Hair Test Mineral Analysis (HTMA) on our clients to give them insights into what’s going on with their mineral status.

Find out more and apply HERE!

Jessica Simpson Fat Burning 2022: Diet Regimen, Exercise, Before as well as After

Simpson loved singing since her childhood. She has been a very successful singer throughout her career. Sure, she faced many challenges but in the end, she overcame every single obstacle in her way. However, recently Simpson had been facing a unique challenge.

Jessica’s Weight Loss Journey

That challenge was her increasing weight. During the pregnancy of her third child, Jessica gained a huge amount of weight. She knew that she had to lose weight but her pregnancy wasn’t letting her do so. So she waited for the birth.

After the birth, Jessica discussed the situation with her doctor and then embarked on the journey of weight loss. Her weight loss has been a very remarkable one. Within months, Simpson lost about 100 pounds

The thing that makes it more remarkable is that she has lost this weight by following a simple diet plan and some other subtle habits. Let’s dive into the details.

MO_amat_11-8.jpg

After giving birth to her third child, Jessica contacted the doctor and then on his advice contacted the weight loss program Weight Watchers (WW). Besides that, her trainer, Harley Pasternak, has also helped her in losing extra pounds.

Also find out how the American actress, Delta Burke, lost 70 pounds.

How did Jessica Lose 100 Pounds?

So, the question that most of Simpson’s fans ask is how did she do that. Well, the answer to this is very simple. Jessica worked on her habits. She built a set of simple habits that helped her in transforming her life completely. Those habits are the following:

1) A Healthy Diet Plan

With the help of her personal trainer, Harley Pasternak, Jessica prepared a diet plan that contained only 3 meals per day. In this way, she kept from overeating as well as starving herself. Each meal includes protein, fiber, and fat.

The meals she chose to eat were from Harley’s book, Body Reset Diet. In this way, Simpson learned to balance. If she spent some time at a party and ate there, she would then restrain herself from consuming further calories. You can easily find the book on Amazon.

2) Jessica Joined a Gym

Simpson would visit the gym along with her two trainers, Harley Pasternak and Sydney Liebes. They would instruct her separately. “I’ve been training for 10 years now and I have never been more excited for a client transformation” Sydney applauded Jessica’s efforts.

3) Going for a Long Walk

When I say a long walk, I mean it. With the help of Harley, Jessica started walking for 2.5 miles every day. However, with the passage of time, her stamina built and now she goes for walks as long as 7 miles. No doubt that Simpson ended up losing 100 pounds.

4) Getting a Good Sleep

As subtle as this habit looks like it is equally powerful. Jessica would sleep for at least 7 hours. There are many benefits of good sleeping habits. It strengthens your heart, your immune system, and your memory, and getting enough sleep also saves you from gaining weight.

So many people undervalue the importance of good sleep” complained Jessica’s trainer, Harley. In this age of social media, staying up late at the night has become a routine. And there’s no proof that if a thing is routine then it must be healthy. So, analyze your daily routine carefully. It might be robbing off you of your energy.

After losing more than 100 pounds, Simpson has come from 250 pounds to 140 pounds. And she is planning to stay at this weight as she still practices these habits.

Final Words

Jessica showed that she is a responsible person. She is not only a famous singer but also a responsible wife and mother. Her weight loss journey reminds us that nothing is impossible. I hope that Simpson’s weight loss journey inspires you.

It's National Donut Day! 3 Delicious Donut Recipes Under 200 Calories

Who doesn’t love a good donut? Donuts are one of those sweet treats that fall into the comfort food category. And on some mornings, you just wish you had a few donut recipes that won’t totally wreck your healthy weight loss plan.

But, donuts on a diet? It sounds entirely too good to be true.

Actually, the truth is that with the right donut recipes, you can enjoy everyone’s favorite sweet treat while still sticking to your healthy eating regimen. A lot of it comes down to how you prepare them. By baking or air frying your donut recipes (instead of deep frying in oil), you save yourself quite a few calories. On top of that, swapping out some of the unhealthy ingredients—such as the loads of sugar traditionally used in donuts—you can bring that calorie count even lower. And the shocking thing is, they still taste absolutely delicious while clocking in under 200 calories per serving.

Don’t believe us? Well, here are three delicious donut recipes you need to try to believe:

1. Chocolate Donuts >

African-Mango-900_2-2.jpg

Calories per Donut: 135

On Nutrisystem, Count As: 1 SmartCarb and 2 Extras

If chocolate is your favorite indulgence, then you’ll want to try this delicious guilt-free donut recipe. Baked instead of fried, these donuts will only set you back 135 calories each. They’re made with healthy ingredients like whole wheat pastry flour, nonfat Greek yogurt, milk and eggs. The chocolate flavor comes from cocoa powder as well as a delectable chocolate glaze that is drizzled over top. On the Nutrisystem meal plan, one donut (a serving) counts as one SmartCarb and two Extras. Click here for the full recipe! >

2. Air Fryer Skinny Jelly Donuts >

MO_amat_08-1.jpg

Calories per Donut: 132

On Nutrisystem, Count As: 1 SmartCarb and 2 Extras

The jelly donut is the quintessential breakfast donut that adults and kids alike love. If a donut with jelly filling is your go-to choice, then you’re definitely going to appreciate our “skinny” version—which is also baked and not fried. We also make it in a muffin tin for easy prep and clean up! While your average jelly donut is loaded with sugar, this version uses healthier ingredients like whole wheat pastry flour, nonfat Greek yogurt, and sugar-free jelly. They’re easy to make and will save you from that morning trip to the drive-through window—not to mention how much they’ll save your waistline, too. One jelly donut has only 132 calories, which is less than half the calories of a traditional jelly donut from a popular national donut chain. It counts as one SmartCarb and two Extras on the Nutrisystem plan. Click here for the full recipe! >

3. Blueberry Cheesecake Donuts >

MO_amat_03-5.jpg

Calories per Donut: 161

On Nutrisystem, Count As: 1 SmartCarb and 3 Extras

How indulgent do blueberry cheesecake donuts sound? Well, this version may sound—and taste—decadent, but it’s a lot healthier than the traditional fried variety. Besides being baked, these donuts also have significantly less sugar. Instead, they’re sweetened with more healthful ingredients like nonfat Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, Truvia and blueberries. In fact, this recipe calls for a whole cup of antioxidant-packed blueberries for the six donuts it yields, as well as another half cup for a sweet glaze. A little bit of cream cheese helps to give this donut a cheesecake taste. On the Nutrisystem plan, a single donut counts as one SmartCarb and three Extras. Click here for the full recipe! >

Ayesha Curry Fat Burning 2022: Diet, Workout, Prior to and also After

The famous Canadian actress, Ayesha Curry is a multi-talented female. She is not only an actress, but also an author, TV personality, and entrepreneur. Ayesha already had a pretty much busy life but after her marriage when she became a mother, things got busier.

Curry is now the mother of three children. With the birth of her three children, great responsibilities came. She would be busy with her work all day and while at home would share time with her family as well.

With all this business, Curry would have very little time to focus on herself. As usual, while being under the stress, Ayesha started gaining weight.

Another factor that contributed to her weight was her cooking show and her cooking habit. She would cook delicious dishes and sometimes would end up eating them.

MO_logo_3-6.jpg

However, the good thing is that she took notice of that at the right time. And immediately started working on its improvement. As of now, Curry has lost 35 pounds, far more than she gained. When she shared her new photo on her Instagram, fans filled her comment box.

They started asking a lot of questions regarding her weight loss. We are going to discuss her journey to a better physique in full detail.

Ayesha Curry’s Weight Loss Journey

African-Mango-900_1-2.jpg

Ayesha started her weight loss journey at the start of 2020. She made some huge changes to her daily routine, that is in her lifestyle. With huge changes came huge results and within months, Curry got back to a thin figure.

The most frequent question that Curry was asked was, ‘How did you do it?’ Ayesha lost weight because she made big changes to her diet. As she was already a cook it wasn’t much hard for her to decide which food she should eat and from which she should restrain herself.

Ayesha not only changed her diet, but she also started visiting the gym where she would burn calories. Following are the details:

Ayesha’s Diet Plan

MO_amat_03-2.jpg

She made changes to her diet timewise. Curry prepared a diet plan according to which she would have different food at different times of the day.

Breakfast: Ayesha starts her day with a sip of coffee. She is strict in her breakfast routine. She only has breakfast at weekends. “I love a good smoked salmon scramble. It’s something that I put in my first cookbook, The Season Life. And I still eat it to this day,” Ayesha said in an interview.

Lunch: Curry is fond of healthy eating. She tries to add as many vegetables as possible to her dining table. Most of the time, Curry goes with green veggies salad. Describing her choice for the salad she said, “I love a good poppyseed dressing on my salad, a little bit of red onions as well”.

Dinner: The mother of three prepares dinner with more care than lunch or breakfast because “that’s the time we’re going to sit together” She tries to prepare as light food as possible. The family eats dinner at 7 p.m right before the kids go to sleep.

Curry focuses on her hydration as well. She drinks a lot of water in a day, up to 10 glasses. “Coldwater is not my thing that’s why I drink hot water” Ayesha explained. Drinking more water is a very healthy trait, especially for those who are looking forward to losing weight.

Ayesha’s Workout Plan

To lose weight, Curry joined a gym near her home where she would go 5 days a week. She would spend an hour there while doing intense cardio workouts. After working out for a whole hour, a bath in hot water would solve everything.

Before & After Weight Loss

MO_packshot_05-3.jpg

After fighting obesity for more months, Ayesha succeeded in losing 35 pounds. Her current weight is 155 pounds as compared to her old weight, 190 pounds.

Ayesha Being an Authoress

Curry has wide knowledge on the subject of cooking she has written three books on the topic: The Full Plate, Tastes, and The Seasoned Life.

The famous British chef, Nadiya Hussain, has also lost more than 40 pounds.

Final Words

By losing that much weight within months, Ayesha has shown us that there is nothing impossible. That one can do whatever one wants. A lot of us excuse joining the gym by saying that we haven’t got much time. That our life is too busy. But Curry has proven this perspective wrong. Being an actress, mother of 3 kids, and host of a cooking show, Ayesha Curry proved what we can do if we stop wasting our time on excuses.

MO_logo_3-2.jpg

This cobbler is one of our favorite desserts to whip up during fruit season. One bite of this and you’ll swear you’re cheating.
